How Much Does a UX Audit Cost in Saudi Arabia? (2026 Pricing Guide)

Cost

Summary

A UX audit in Saudi Arabia costs between SAR 15,000 and SAR 90,000 in 2026.

  • A focused audit of one flow, like checkout or onboarding, runs SAR 15,000 to SAR 22,000 and takes one to two weeks.

  • A full product audit covering every core flow, with analytics review and five to eight moderated sessions with real users, lands between SAR 35,000 and SAR 70,000 over two to four weeks.

  • Enterprise audits with multiple user roles, WCAG 2.2 accessibility testing, and competitor benchmarking start around SAR 70,000.

What actually moves the price is not the agency's logo. It is the number of flows covered, whether testing with real users is included, and the seniority of the people doing the work. Before you sign anything, ask one question: does this price include testing with real Saudi users, or only an expert review? The answer tells you what you are really buying.

How much does a UX audit cost in Saudi Arabia in 2026?

Here are the three tiers we see in the Saudi market this year, based on our own proposals and regional rate cards (Riyadh agencies list at $20–$100 per hour on DesignRush as of September 2026):

Audit type

Price (SAR)

Timeline

Who it fits

Cell Focused flow audit (one journey: checkout, onboarding, booking)

15,000–22,000

1–2 weeks

Teams with one obvious pain point

Full product audit (all core flows, analytics review, 5–8 moderated user sessions)

35,000–70,000

2–4 weeks

Products with declining conversion or retention and no clear cause

Enterprise audit (multiple user roles, accessibility to WCAG 2.2, competitor benchmarking)

70,000+

4–6 weeks

Banks, government services, platforms with compliance exposure

Two things are not on this table. A pure heuristic review, where an expert clicks through your product and writes notes, sits below the first tier at SAR 5,000–10,000. It is fast and useful, but it is one person's opinion, not evidence. At the other end, global consultancies like Nielsen Norman Group start around $60,000 for research-heavy engagements. Most Saudi products do not need that.

What is included in a UX audit?

A proper audit has four parts, and cheap quotes usually drop two of them.

The first part is the expert review: a senior UX practitioner walks every core flow and checks it against established usability principles. The second is data: your analytics, funnel drop-offs, and support tickets tell the reviewer where to dig. The third is the part that costs money and matters most: watching real users from your actual market try to use the product. The fourth is the deliverable itself, which should be a prioritized list of problems ranked by business impact, not a 60-page screenshot gallery.

When you compare quotes, ask each bidder to show a sample deliverable. You will spot the difference in thirty seconds.

Why do UX audit quotes vary so much?

Three reasons, and only one of them is legitimate.

The legitimate reason is scope. Auditing a checkout flow is a different job from auditing a bank's entire app with five user roles. The second reason is staffing. Some agencies sell you a senior team in the pitch and hand the work to juniors. Ask who will personally do the review and how many audits they have run. The third reason is that some quotes are low because the "audit" is a template with your logo on it. We have reviewed a few of these for clients. They read the same regardless of the product.

Is a UX audit worth the money?

Run this test: estimate what fixing the problem is worth, then compare it to the audit fee. Forrester's widely cited research puts the return on UX spending at up to $100 for every $1 invested. You do not need to believe the full number for the math to work. If your checkout converts 2% of 50,000 monthly visitors and an audit costing SAR 45,000 lifts that to 2.4%, the payback period is measured in weeks for most Saudi e-commerce margins.

A Riyadh e-commerce client came to us after a SAR 9,000 heuristic-only review missed why their checkout was bleeding users. Eight moderated sessions found it in the first week: the address form rejected the most common Saudi address format. No expert review would have caught that, because the form looked perfectly reasonable.

UX audit vs full redesign: which do I need?

If your product has an obvious, isolated problem, skip the audit and fix the problem. If conversion is slipping and nobody agrees on why, audit first. Redesigning without an audit is how teams spend SAR 200,000 repainting a room while the leak keeps dripping. About a third of the audits we run end with a smaller fix list than the client expected, which is a much cheaper outcome than a redesign nobody needed.

How long does a UX audit take?

One to two weeks for a single flow, two to four for a full product, up to six for enterprise. If someone quotes you three days, they are selling you a template. If they quote three months for a standard product, they are padding.

Freelancer vs agency audit: what changes?

A good freelancer can run a solid heuristic review cheaply. What a solo person cannot do is recruit, schedule, and moderate five to eight Saudi user sessions while also doing the expert analysis. If your risk is concentrated in one flow, a freelancer is fine. If you need evidence about real user behavior, you need a team, even a small one.

How do I choose who audits my product?

Three questions settle it. Who personally does the work, and how many audits have they run? Does the price include sessions with real users from your market? And can they show a sample deliverable with prioritized findings? Any bidder who hesitates on the third question has told you something.
